In Norse mythology, Loki is a god. Your goal is to help him find a treasure trove of rewards. Given the green brightness of the Northern Lights in the background, I guess that the reels are set someplace in Scandinavia.

The scatter payout mechanism is used in the 7x7 grid Loki's Riches slot machine. Every symbol pays in groups of five or more linked symbols, either horizontally or vertically. Those symbols will vanish when a winning combination hits, making room for additional symbols that are falling from above. This procedure will carry on until there are no more winners.

The lower-paying symbols on the reels are rune symbols shown on variously coloured gemstones. Higher paying shields, hammers, rings, and Golden Loki emblems join these. The highest paying symbol is the Golden Loki, which pays out 2 x the wager for just 5 in combination and up to a massive 10,000 x the stake for 25 or more.

In the main game, a randomly chosen paying symbol is designated as the Special Expanding symbol. This implies that it won't blow up during tumbles. Rather, after every tumble, it will be enlarged into a 4x4 collection of identical symbols, and all winning combos will then be awarded.

It will extend right-down by default, but if it is near the bottom of reel 1, it will expand right-up. It will extend left-up if it is at the bottom of grid reel 7. Different instances of the same symbol may overlap and extend into the same location when it is expanding. In this case, each time the symbol appears in a single location, it counts as one.

To activate this additional feature, place four or more scatter symbols on the grid. Ten bonus spins will be granted to you. A paying symbol that will serve as the Special Expanding symbol for the duration of the bonus feature is chosen at random prior to the bonus round starting. Just keep spinning until all of your bonus spins are used. Ten extra free spins will be awarded during the bonus round if four or more Scatters land on the grid.
