Upon loading Area Link Luck, the colourful hilltop scenery with trees, mushrooms, golden coins, and a rainbow spanning the hilltop appears as the game's backdrop, promising our leprechaun companions a pot of gold. A rainbow Wild and three pots of varying colours sit above the reel set, while symbols representing theme-related objects like harps and leprechaun hats adorn the reel border.

When you play an Irish-themed slot machine, you will encounter symbols on the reels that are quite familiar to you. The fifteen varied symbols consist of five premium symbols with leprechaun hats, beer, harps, shoes, and mushrooms, and six low-paying symbols represented by the numbers 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A. There's a Wild Symbol, Red, Purple, and Green Lucky Charm Upgrade Symbols, in addition to these standard symbols. The highest paying symbol is the wild symbol, which pays out 10 times when five appear on a pay line. 

The gameplay in this game revolves around the Area Link feature. In essence, it's the same as the well-known streak-style respins bonus, with the exception that many upgrades may be applied simultaneously, in combination, or individually.

Three distinct collection pots—red, purple, and green—sit above the reels, and each one is associated with a unique Coin symbol. Coins of the matching colour are gathered and added to the pot whenever they appear. The Area Link bonus may be randomly activated with the corresponding feature modifier, known as Lucky Charm Upgrades, upon the collection of a Coin. If three Coins of the same colour appear at the same time, a bonus round with several upgrades may also be triggered.

When one or more Coins appear, the exciting Area Link feature starts, and each Coin adds to the pot of the same colour above the reel set. The Lucky Charm Upgrades that are granted are determined on the mix of coins that were gathered during the Area Link activation. This feature locks all pot symbols in place and grants three respins. At the end of the feature, each pot symbol delivers a cash prize or jackpot, and further pot symbols reset the number of remaining Respins to 3.
