What is a Slot Tournament?
So, what are slot tournaments played online? Well, they’re a fun casino feature we offer at Spin Genie to bring out a little healthy competition in our players. Online slot tournaments, sometimes known as 'online casino tournaments', are short-term events in which participants compete against other casino tournament players. This casino feature is open to all Spin Genie members aged 19 and over, and tournaments can be 'free roll' (free-to-enter) or 'buy-in'.
Slot tournaments can last a month, a week, or a single day, and can feature many slots (that form a theme) or a single game (often a new release or fan favourite). The eligible game(s) will be listed in the Terms and Conditions, and only spins on those games will count towards your tournament rank. The conditions for going up the tournament ladder will also be specified, such as the biggest single payment, the largest multiplier, and so on; so always study the t’s and c’s before playing to know what to expect.
How To Play
It only takes 3 simple steps to play our online slots tournaments:
Enter the Tournament (Opt In): Spin Genie hosts no-cost and buy-in slot tournaments. The tournament tab in the Daily Picks section lists the current competitions. To enter a no-cost tournament, simply click the 'join' button; for buy-in events, click 'buy-in'. If you have the funds available in your account, the cost will be deducted instantly. Otherwise, you will be requested to make a deposit. Any amounts you deposit that exceed the tournament cost will be credited to your account.
Spin!: After you've opted in, it's time for the fun part! You will get a pop-up with the eligible game(s). Depending on the tournament rules, you may have a time limit to earn the highest possible position or a set number of spins. In any case, good luck spinning!
Check the Leaderboard: Unless otherwise noted, your tournament rank is often determined by the reward value of your spins. The tournaments tab displays your current position, and the leaderboard is updated in real-time. In buy-in tournaments, if you play through your allowed spins and aren't satisfied you can purchase additional entries. You can also check the remaining duration of the tournaments you’ve entered on the tournaments tab.

What happens if I win a tournament?
If you win, congratulations! Here's what you should know: the winning competitor receives awards immediately following the tournament. We will endeavour to contact the recipients of physical prizes, but if no answer is received within 7 days, the winners will lose their eligibility for the award. If a winner accepts a cash equivalent for a physical prize or the product is out of stock, the cash equivalent is always worth 50% of the original value, unless otherwise stated. Be sure to always read the terms and conditions before playing.
What is the minimum buy-in for the tournament?
The buy-in cost for each tournament is displayed on the tournaments page. Free-roll tournaments have no cost, but most of our tournaments such as those featured below cost around $1-2 per entry.
