The wagers used in roulette are split into two types which are known as inside and outside bets.
Inside Bets

Outside Bets

How to Play
To play roulette, simply follow these steps:
- To play roulette you'll first find a table with a minimum bet that you are happy with. When playing real-world roulette the dealer will provide you with chips, if you're playing at an online casino you'll need to add funds to your account.
- Once you have your chips or your fund you are free to place them anywhere on the roulette table layout. Different bets have different requirements with outside bets typically having a higher minimum of 5-10x meaning a table with a £1 minimum wager will require £5-10 to be wagered on an outside bet. Your chip (or chips, depending on how much you want to wager) is placed on the square that has the number you want to bet on in order to place your bet. Place your chip(s) along the edge of the three numbers you have selected if you wish to wager on a column. To place your chips for a square bet, place them where those numbers intersect.
- The croupier will spin the wheel and spin the ball into it while bets are being put. Until the croupier says, "No more bets," you can keep placing chips down or move the ones you have previously placed. After that, no more wagers are accepted until the outcome of that game has been revealed.
- Winning bets are those made that cover the segment that the roulette ball stops in. Once all payouts have been made the betting round will begin again.
