They’ve also examined social media and search data to determine which celebrity couples the public loves to see together and who they don’t like as a pair.

Next up are Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, who have a combined total of 65.6 million followers. Gomez recently announced their engagement to her fans on Instagram after the couple had been dating for over a year.
3. Lucien Laviscount and Shakira 53.2 million followers
In third place are Lucien Laviscount and Shakira, with a total of 53.2 million followers on X between them. Shakira is the most popular of the two, with 52.1 million followers compared to Lasviscont’s 118,400.
Methodology
To find the most compatible single celebrities, we began with a list of celebrities featured prominently online for being single, taken from sources including People.
We then took information from list articles to find each celebrity’s favourite food, hobbies, age and star sign. To match the couples, we assigned a score to each category, with star signs and age worth two points and hobbies and favourite foods worth one point. The celebrities who scored the most points by matching were deemed the most compatible.
To find the most popular celebrity couples, we began with a list taken from sources, including Buzzfeed and Cosmopolitan, and analyzed each one based on the following factors. We then gave each celebrity couple a normalized score out of ten for each factor before taking an average across each of these scores to reach our final overall score out of ten.
Google Searches
The total number of Google searches for each celebrity couple from January to December 2024, using the keywords “[celebrity]” and [celebrity]” taken from Google Ads’ Keyword Planner.
X Followers
The number of followers on each celebrity’s X account, combined for a total follower count for each couple.
Instagram Followers
The number of followers on each celebrity’s Instagram account, combined for a total follower count for each couple.
